Create custom mechanical design (modeling) and drawings using 3D CAD software. (Solid Works, Catia etc) Perform machine startups at customer?s site as assigned. Provide direction to manufacturing and vendors during the build process of released machines. Ensure products comply with regulatory requirements (e.g.: OSHA, UL, CSA, CE, ATEX, TS-16949, ISO 14001 including federal, local, and industry safety requirements.)

Details: Position Duties: Develop and maintain methods and processes for ECAD toolsets in support of EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems) InHouse program teams. Test future versions of software, lead software issue resolution and enhancements through deployment and re-training of personnel. Develop training for global application and conduct Ford specific training for user community. Support EDS InHouse teams globally in design and release of 2D harness prints, including flexing personnel into programs when necessary to meet program deliverables. Establish/define Ford 2D print requirements, cascade to user community and integrate into Ford processes consistent with Ford Engineering Standards. Provide guidance to program teams for detailed harness drawing creation. Troubleshoot ECAD toolset data construction. Develop and maintain data interactions with CATIA, Saber, Teamcenter and other Ford systems. Experience with BoM (Bill of Materials) creation and harness release.
